Packing
Use our packing tips the next time you're moving with a New Jersey mover or need to pack items to be placed in a self storage unit.
Following a few packing tips will make your moving or storage experience all the less stressful.
- If you can get rid of things you no longer want or need instead of packing them and moving them or putting them into storage you'll have less packing to do and need less space. Consider having a yard sale or a garage sale, or donate items to charity or haul them to the dump. There's just no point in spending time or money to pack, move or store these things.
- Consider packing important documents, like bank statements, medical records, car titles, etc. in one place. Avoid putting the items in storage, but if you have to use climate controlled storage. If you're moving with a New Jersey mover, consider taking these documents with you.
- Use blankets, towels, or old linens to protect furniture. Upholstered furniture is best covered with cotton sheets that allow ventilation and prevent mold and mildew.
- If you need to take something apart in order to pack it, label each piece so you can easily put it back together. If necessary, draw a diagram of the connections and pack the drawing in the same box.
